Can I use my insurance?

Spero Psychiatry and Counseling providers are not credentialed with insurance. Payment for services is due at the time of the appointment. We can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance carrier to request reimbursement at an out of network rate, however this is not a guarantee that services are covered. If you plan on submitting a superbill you should contact your insurance to determine out of network coverage.

How do I make an appointment?

You can click on our provider bios to make an appointment online or contact us at 480-825-1162.

What can I expect?

You will receive an email with our patient forms that must be filled out prior to being evaluated by our providers.

You will then have an appointment time assigned to which you will provide confirmation.

What do I need to bring?

Preferred method of payment is Credit/Debit card/HSA/FSA.

Please bring to your current medication list if not already submitted via email intake forms.

Is a telemedicine appointment secure?

We utilize Kareo’s web-based platform which is HIPAA compliant with encryption and security components. There is no need to download any programs.

There is no data storage nor recording of sessions. You will need to allow permissions to the platform for use of your device’s video camera or microphone.

Do you prescribe medications?

We can and will prescribe medications if it is clinically appropriate. Note that we are mental health providers and provide psychotropic medications, we do not provide primary care medications.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you must cancel an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Because your appointment time is reserved for you, if you miss your appointment without at least 24 hours notice, you will be responsible for paying for the session.

No show fees are $150 for a new patient evaluation and $75 for a follow up.

No show fees for a Psychotherapy appointment are $50.

Do you treat active substance abuse?

We do not provide primary substance abuse treatment or MAT (medication assisted treatment). If you are currently engaged in MAT treatment at an alternative location we can provide additional psychiatric services.
